Bialetti - Moka

In 1933 Alfonso Bialetti revolutionised home coffee-making in Italy when he introduced the Bialetti Moka Express aluminium stovetop espresso coffee maker. This simple, reliable piece of equipment became a design classic of the 20th century, and even today the Moka Express can be found in nearly 90% of Italian households. The Bialetti character L'Omino - the little man with the moustache - is one of the most widely recognised brand logos in Europe. While the Moka Express remains at the core of the Bialetti range, many new products have been introduced over the years. These include the Moka Easy, which combines the features of the Moka Express with an integrated electric heating element, and the Bialetti Brikka, which uses patented technology to produce an excellent "crema". Bialetti's latest introduction is the Bialetti Mukka Express cappucino maker, the first stovetop coffee maker to be able to make cappucino, and also excellent for making cafe latte.
