Berndes was founded in Germany in 1921 and has established itself as a market leader in the manufacture of cast aluminium non-stick cookware. For all Berndes cast aluminium pans, a particularly high-grade aluminium alloy is used. The 6 mm thick, perfectly flat BERNDES base® will not warp, has excellent heat conductivity and is perfect for gas, electric or ceramic stovetops (but not for induction hobs, apart from the new Berndes Balance range). Berndes nonstick pans feature the latest Dupont Autograph non-stick finish which is scratch and impact-resistant and come with a 10-year guarantee. Berndes pans have robust phenolic handles which are comfortable to hold and will withstand oven temperatures up to 230°C. The Berndes non-stick ranges which we sell are:- The Removable Handle range of non-stick saucepans, frying pans, sauté pans and griddles. The Signocast range of non-stick frying pans, saucepans, sauté pans and grill pans. Cast aluminium casseroles, saute casseroles, stockpots, roasters and woks which are designed to match all of the ranges. The standard lids supplied with some of the pans are made of toughened glass with a stainless steel rim, but a feature which few other cookware ranges offer is the availability of flat stainless steel lids which enable you to stack the pans on top of one another in the oven, a particularly useful feature if you have an Aga or other range cooker.
